An immersive, expanded cinema piece and live performance for Manchester International Festival 2025, South Warehouse.

The piece - created, filmed and performed by Juliet Ellis - explored key themes of body, mind and self through the experiences of her father Lloyd, a world champion bodybuilder, and her brother, Anthony, a former cage fighter.

Taking cues from the form of a Buddhist mandala, layers of projection screens around a circular central space combined with lighting and sound elements to expand the cinematic experience into the vast warehouse setting. The circular layout of the space with eight different points of projection offered each member of the audience a unique viewpoint of the piece.
