Milesians: The Coming of the Gaels | Imagineer Productions

An ancient tale from the Book of Invasion of goddesses and high kings, of adventure and endeavour that takes place on both land and ocean. Spanning 400 years, Milesians takes the audience from Egypt to Ireland with themes that resonate with today's themes of migration, cultural co-existence, and acceptance. As an ensemble piece, the company included performers from Circolumbia and Rebel Manifesto Aerial alongside a community cast.
The costume design met the need for performers to be seen as both an ensemble as well as individual characters during the piece's storytelling and involved the creation of over 30 individual outfits. The use of natural materials such as cotton and linen created a timeless feel while promoting the use of sustainable fabrics - essential to a piece with such strong links to the land and ocean.
