The Last Mile

London School of Architecture | published as part of NLA's Future Streets exhibition

Design Think Tank with Betty Owoo, Duncan Graham, Oliver Sanger, Ivo Perry, Sam Davies

The Last Mile is a research-led piece of urban design, proposing a new vision for the movement of personal goods in London while seeking to develop strategies that enhance the existing network.
By identifying two key strands of immediate improvements— the relationship between personal deliveries and the public realm—the proposal explores provocations on the potential future of the 'last mile' of goods movement in London. Exploring the journey from delivery hub to home, the project suggests steps that can be taken to ensure the urban environment develops in an inclusive, holistic way as future technologies develop.
